On November 1, 2023, the SRIREP Project will hold a one-day symposium entitled ” Open a New Horizon Beyond TD Research: A Path from the Outcome of TD Research to Social Change ” to present the implementation of social change in communities through the practical application of TD research in the SRIREP project and discuss at Lecture Hall of Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN), Kyoto, Japan. The symposium will be available as an online Zoom.

Transdisciplinary (TD) research incorporates more than just scientific studies; it is imperative that such research endeavors are oriented towards effecting meaningful, sustainable societal transformations within the community. The SRIREP project has implemented practical TD research of this nature in order to build a sustainable society in gold mining communities of Indonesia, which can also contribute to the solution of global environmental problems. This symposium will focus on the implementation of social change in communities through the practical application of TD research in our project.
