UNG (Go-Pena.id) – Professor Karmila Mahmud, MA. Ph.D., Vice Chancellor for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems, State University of Gorontalo (UNG) welcomed the arrival of Professor Sakakibara from the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN), Japan on Wednesday, July 6, 2022.

According to Karmila, the UNG and RIHN officials discussed program collaboration-related topics during their talks. The program includes several predetermined research themes, and international student exchanges via the Sakura Science program, which will send UNG students to Japan.

“With the collaboration of several lecturers, UNG and RIHN have designed a curriculum focusing on research. In the future, we recommend increasing the number of academics involved in funding research and publishing “Karmila remarked.

Prof. Sakakibara is now highly open to opportunities for additional collaboration between the UNG and RIHN. This opportunity may be achieved if the research programs and publications undertaken are valuable to a broad number of people, not only researchers. (IP-03/WAHID)
