The Shikoku Seiyo Geo Museum in Seiyo City grows Bitter Gourd using Sugar Palm Fiber Net

During their visit to the Karawo exhibition at the Shikoku Seiyo Geo Museum in Seiyo City, members of the SRIREP project inspected the use of sugar palm fiber net.

As an alternative to plastic, these natural palm fiber netting are now widely used in agriculture and other applications for landslide prevention.

The SRIREP Project has already made significant progress in terms of environmental protection, the reduction of poverty issues in Gorontalo, where a research site is located, and the expansion of alternative livelihood activities for the residents as an alternative to gold extraction in the region.
