1st Multisectoral Collaboration Seminar on Aspiration, Empowerment & Regional Innovation of Gorontalo’s Women for Future Sustainability of Traditional Karawo Ikat Embroidery will be held on March 21, 2023, from 8 am to 3 pm (Gorontalo Standard Time) / 9 am to 4 pm (Tokyo Standard Time).

Dr. Eduart Wolok, ST, MT, Rector of the State University of Gorontalo will deliver the Opening Speech prior to the Opening Remarks of dr Hj Nurinda Rahim, M.Sc, Head of BKOW Province of Gorontalo. Lecture presentations and practical demonstrations will be conducted by 1) Mrs. Shimaoka Junko, Embroidery Instructor, TOTSUKA Embroidery Association, Japan, 2) Dra. H. Lailany Yahya, M. Si, Lecturer/ SRIREP’s Project member, State University of Gorontalo, Indonesia, and 3) Andi Patiware Metaragakusuma, Ph. D., Researcher, Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN), Japan during this one-day seminar.

This workshop was organized by the following institutions: 1) BKOW (Women’s Organizations Cooperation Body) Province of Gorontalo, Indonesia, 2) SRIREP (Sustainable Regional Innovation for Reducing Environmental Pollution) Project, Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN), Japan, 3) UNG (Gorontalo State University), and 4) TOTSUKA Embroidery Association, Japan.
